Boeing amends B747-8 production program
18 November
Boeing has advised an adjusted schedule for production and delivery of its Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
The revised schedule is based on a production and flight-test plan developed in conjunction with the company's suppliers that provides additional time for addressing issues that have slowed the program's progress, including supply chain delays.
Under the new schedule, delivery of the first B747-8 Freighter will move from late 2009 to the third quarter of 2010.
The first B747-8 intercontinental passenger jet delivery moves from late 2010 to the second quarter of 2011.
