Novotel expands Ningaloo
14 November
The decision to build a world-class resort hotel at Western Australia’s remote Ningaloo Reef has payed off, with hotel operator, Novotel, opening the second stage of the luxurious resort complex.
The expansion will add a further 12 standard rooms and 12 one-bedroom self-contained apartments, taking the property’s total room inventory to 68, including a number of rooms and apartments designed to meet the needs of mobility-impaired travellers with wide entry, circulation paths and appropriately designed bathrooms.
General manager, Darren Cossill, said the new accommodation was tailored for self-catering leisure travellers and the North West’s growing conference market.
“Many of our European visitors like to stay in the region for several days, and like to have the flexibility of cooking for themselves, so the new apartments are ideal for this type of traveller.”
The expanded facilities provide the flexibility to suit groups up to 100, with a range of catering options.
“Conference delegates also appreciate more space, so the open-plan, apartment-style accommodation offers great appeal, and we are already seeing an increase in bookings in this category,” he added.
Cossill said the hotel is perfect for weddings and conferences for up to 100 people, with world-class resort facilities sitting alongside some of the most spectacular coastline in Australia.
“We’ve got a winning combination of luxury and nature, where organisers can access world-class facilities for their guests and keep everyone totally satisfied with excursions into the adjacent Ningaloo Marine Park and Cape Range National Park – both of which also make stunning natural backdrops for special functions,” he said.
